College of Charleston, he received a Bachelor of Arts in Historic Preservation and Community Planning. During his studies he focused on urbanism, economics, and the role of preservation in real estate and development in Charleston. After graduation he worked for a prominent builder and gained experience in practical preservation and construction. While restoring historic homes in downtown Charleston, he earned his SC Real Estate Sales License and decided to pursue a career in real estate brokerage. He began his commercial real estate career in 2012 as an associate broker at Roadstead Real Estate Advisors, LLC. At Roadstead Thomas learned the Charleston market with a focus on the peninsula and its growing development. Throughout his time in the field he has been involved in all spectrums of representing his clients, from landlords in leasing to corporate buyers in acquisitions. He is currently licensed in South Carolina, North Carolina and Georgia. He is an active member of the Urban Land Institute and the Young Leaders’ Regional Initiative Council.
